Dr. Haider Al-Abadi receives a group of Iraqi youth as part of his series of weekly meetings with community elites

Today, Wednesday, the head of Al Nasr Coalition, Dr. Haider Al-Abadi, received a group of young people and students as part of his weekly meetings with community elites.

Dr. Al-Abadi spoke about many vital issues affecting youth and society in his speech. Emphasizing the role of youth as a driving force for change and development in Iraq.

He also touched on the challenges facing Iraq, including the need to refocus on what is best for the citizens and the current generation’s suffering from sectarianism and mismanagement, stressing that injustice and terrorism have no religion and that whoever speaks in the name of religion must not offend it and be just.

Al-Abadi stressed the importance of human freedom and the necessity of not discriminating between people based on belief, explaining the difference between reform and guidance and that reform may be complex and long. Still, it is necessary to achieve justice and correct the path.

The youth discussed issues that reflect their aspirations for the future, including reform at many levels.

They touched on the importance of supporting youth initiatives and the existence of a continuous dialogue between state facilities and youth so that their voices are heard and their opinions are considered in decision-making.
