Today, Wednesday, the head of Al Nasr Coalition, Dr. Haider Al-Abadi, hosted a number of representatives of Iraqi societal components of diverse religions and sects, as part of his series of weekly meetings with community elites.
In his speech, Dr. Al-Abadi pointed out that we are equal in citizenship and we must work to consolidate this culture by raising the educational level and establishing a culture of civil behavior, stressing that protecting minorities is a duty, because they usually do not have sources of influence or power.
He added: "Our religious diversity is the source of our strength, as religion plays an important role in refining the soul."
The attendees discussed the challenges facing their constituents at the state and societal levels and ways to overcome them, stressing the importance of achieving justice and national unity as a strong arm for promoting stability and progress. They also recalled Dr. Al-Abadi’s administration and its role in protecting their land and identity.
