The meeting began by talking about the developments in the attacks on Gaza, the immoral biases with the violence faced by the Palestinians, and the impact of this on the region and Iraq. Dr. Al-Abadi pointed out the importance of maintaining the unity and coordination of the Iraqi position towards the Palestinian issue to show our state as a cohesive system.
Regarding the election file, Dr. Al-Abadi said: "We previously called for greater attention in distributing electoral cards to citizens and taking educational measures that would encourage them to participate in an electoral experience capable of restoring their confidence in the electoral practice."
The attendees discussed the importance of organizing the situation towards what is happening in Palestine, describing it as a human tragedy that requires an organized and realistic opinion supported by all parties.
They also discussed the necessity of creating a high regard for the elections among citizens by holding fair elections far from the practices of fraud, abuse, and political money.
