The head of Al Nasr Coalition, Dr. Haider Al-Abadi, hosted a number of media figures, including directors of media institutions, program presenters, reporters and journalists, today, Wednesday, as part of his series of weekly meetings with the community elites.

Dr. Al-Abadi began the meeting by talking about what is happening in Palestine, saying: "We are watching with great concern what is happening in Gaza, and we renew our support for the right of the Palestinians to their land and state, and their right to resist the occupation and achieve freedom and sovereignty".

Regarding the local issue, Al-Abadi discussed economic variables and stressed that paying attention to the state’s multiple financial sources is something that must be taken into account in preparation for the expected change in the oil price according to the relevant indicators.

The meeting also included raising some issues related to the political and financial stability, and the efforts that can be made for reform and development.

The attendees discussed with Dr. Al-Abadi many issues related to the Iraqi reality, including the elections and the rise in the dollar exchange rates.

This meeting reflects the importance of interaction between political figures, the media and society in promoting dialogue and awareness of the important issues facing Iraq.
