Al Nasr expresses its stand with what was issued by the Supreme Religious Authority of Sistani to resolve the current crisis

Al Nasr Coalition expresses its backup to Al Sistani to resolve the current crisis, supporting initiatives to meet the aspirations and demands of the Iraqi people.
The coalition believes that the crisis is deeply related to the structure of the political system and the orientations of the political blocs, and that the aspirations of the masses will be achieved only by a constitutional, legal, administrative, political, economic, and comprehensive reform to the structure of the system.

The road map to reform the system requires bold and serious steps from political and community forces, starting with early elections with a fair election law and an independent commission to prevent the manipulation of votes, to ensure wide public participation, and to inject new blood, and break the monopoly of power to restore our people’s confidence in their political system”.
“Political forces today have no choice but to interact with reform initiatives to achieve good governance, social justice and national sovereignty.

Al Nasr: on our way to demand Abdul Mahdi interrogation

The parliamentary bloc of Al Nasr affirms to the Iraqi masses that it is constant about its legal responsibility in responding to the request of the Iraqi public on the questioning of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi under the dome of the Iraqi parliament.
The bloc’s presidency also warned of what it called “overdraw media attempts” to promote news that the parliamentary bloc of Al Nasr is withdrawing questioning to the Prime Minister, to distort the image of the bloc, which asked for questioning on October 2, 2019, the second day of the outbreak of mass protests In Iraqi cities.

Accordingly, Al Nasr parliamentary bloc affirms that it did not withdraw the interrogation and that it is on the way with parties supporting the interrogation to the end and that all attempts of false media influence will not discourage them from assuming their legitimate and legal responsibility.

Al Nasr supports the Marja’iyya’s backup to the demonstrators

Al Nasr Coalition affirms its support for Al Marja’iyya’s backup to the demonstrators, which demanded the enactment of an electoral law that guarantees the change of the parties that ruled previously.
The Coalition said: “We strongly support the declaration issued by the Supreme Religious Authority today, which came to confirm its permanent bias to the people and to reform the government and the integrity of the state, with a series of consistent positions and policies following the radical reform of the foundations of the political process and the structure of the political system”.

The Coalition reiterated its vision and demands for a transition run by an interim government headed by an independent figure, to hold fair early elections by a fair law, an independent commission and UN supervision.
Al Nasr believes that reforming the regime, including its form, structure, constitution, and paths in the service of the people, eliminating corruption and affirming sovereignty, are all related to the pains of this transitional period, its seriousness and its credibility by the forces in power.

Al Nasr Coalition calls on everyone to solidarity to get the country out of the current crisis according to the interests of the people and the safety of the state.
Al Nasr said that signature and signing on the political blocs document yesterday came conditional on the formation of a new government to implement these commitments and hold early elections after the amendment of the election law and reform of the electoral commission and the participation of popular activities, as well as a clear condemnation of the killing and wounding of peaceful demonstrators and kidnapping them.

Al Nasr: We call on the Presidency of the Council of Representatives to hold an emergency session tomorrow devoted to withdrawing confidence from the government and turning it into a caretaker government

Al Nasr Coalition issued a statement supporting the statement of the Supreme Religious authority “Al Marja’iyya” today, and called on the Iraqi Council of Representatives to hold a special session tomorrow in order to withdraw confidence from the government and form an independent new government, with a fair electoral law to form an independent election commission to hold free and early elections in partnership with the United Nation.
Al Nasr stressed the necessity of suing the perpetrators and killers, and the need to peaceful demonstrations to achieve its national goals away from hurting the public and the property, and the need for national cohesion to ensure the unity and stability of the country to avoid chaos or returning to the times of despotic dictatorships.

The Supreme Religious authority “Al Marja’iyya”, represented by Supreme Leader Ali al-Sistani, has called on Friday, the House of Representatives to reconsider its options on the choice of government, stressing that procrastination and prolongation will cost the country a lot.

Dr. Al-Abadi launches his national initiative

Dr. Haider Al-Abadi launches his national initiative, whose articles include:

1- From now until 15 December 2019, in accordance with Article 61 of the Constitution, and at the request of the President (or according to the questioning of the Government), the House of Representatives shall withdraw confidence from the current Government. A “provisional” government should be formed with limited ministries and independent personalities, an independent personality is commissioned to head it and none of its members is nominated for the upcoming elections.
2- The age of the “provisional” government begins on 15/12/2019 and ends on 30/6/2020, will temporarily manage the country’s affairs and accomplish the following:
-Fair amendments to the electoral law to ensure the renewal of political life.
-Formation of an election commission completely independent of the parties.

-Establishing the mechanisms of elections that guarantee the integrity and free will of the voters.
-Holding the elections, and all stages should be under international supervision.
3- The elected government shall start work on 7/1/2020 and during the first six months, in cooperation with the main authorities of the country and within a time limit that does not exceed the year 2020, it shall establish binding paths for constitutional amendments and submit them to the referendum at the end of 2020. The political system and its institutions are adapted on the basis of the results of the popularly approved referendum.
4- The elected government, within the first six months, adheres to setting decisive timetables to confine weapons by the state, and expose perpetrators, who participated in the killing of peaceful demonstrators and members of the security forces, and to end any military or paramilitary presence outside the framework of state institutions, and end the files of detainees, missing and absentees in all Iraqi cities.
5- During the first six months of its formation, the elected government shall be committed to resolve corruption files from 2003 to 2019 with the assistance of the United Nations Mission and the help of the international expertise. The public will be the first informed of the results.
6- All parties and elites that participated and won the elections will be legally bound by the Constitution, the law and national sovereignty. They have to undertake to reject, combat and criminalize terrorism, violence, sectarianism, corruption and organized crime, and to prevent any weapon or military presence outside the rule of law, and to restrict powers to extend security and protect citizens by state authorities. They have to commit to civil and political rights and duties, the values of peaceful coexistence and the right to peaceful expression; to promote and support legal, institutional, and social security to protect the country and its people, and rejecting violence and resorting to arms in solving societal and political problems.

7- All parties and elites that participated and won the elections adhere to free the state and its institutions from the system of quotas, and adopt the standards of competence, professionalism, integrity and career progression, specialization and equal opportunities in the selection of candidates for positions, and activate the law of the Federal Service Council, and obligate to accountability, professional evaluation, and legal performance of officials away from any kind of political protection. They must also adopt a fair salary scale for social justice to all officials.
8- Confidence shall be given to the elected government on the basis of a political majority, away from the sectarian component of the political system. The government is committed to offer a program that is subjected to periodic accountability, and develop comprehensive plans to modernize administrative and financial systems, and move towards automation, transition to e-government, and the adoption of international standards to evaluate the performance of institutions and to complete the promotion of the integrated market economy, and to proceed with the establishment of the generation Fund, the Sovereign Fund, the National Development Plan, the Iraq Vision for 2030, the Poverty Reduction Strategy, the Fight against Unemployment, the Activation of Social Security Networks and the Acceleration To promote the economic, agricultural, industrial, commercial and banking development, including the promotion of the services, energy, transport, information and communications technology sectors, and the development of administrative and professional centers and skills for workers in state institutions and abroad. The elected government is committed, through comprehensive programs, to empowering youth and women in the political, economic, educational and development sectors, ensuring the rights of women and the rights of children, and the elderly and the legislative protection for them. It should emphasize to achieve the objectives of the care of people with special needs law 38 of 2013. It is committed to the adoption of policies and programs in the strategy of education, and to reformulate educational curricula in accordance with educational development in order to ensure the consolidation of the coexistence culture and civic values and the national identity, and pay attention to culture, media, arts, sports and civil work to build the state and the development of society and facilities.

9- The elected government and all authorities in the country are obliged to provide legislative and societal protection to all Iraqi minorities, for their religious, national and sectarian diversity, and not to exclude, marginalize them, and ensure their compensation and return to their areas of residence, and to respect their privacy.
10- The elected government and all other authorities shall abide by the requirements of Iraqi sovereignty, and ensure the liberation of the Iraqi decision from any foreign domination or guardianship, and investigate cooperation and integration with the world on the basis of common interests in accordance with Iraqi interests and sovereignty.

Al Nasr Coalition: We did not support a specific candidate, and parties should free themselves from the mentality of possession

Al Nasr Coalition reaffirmed that it did not put forward any candidate for prime minister and does not support any person, and that what it works on is the patriotism, independence, professionalism of the candidate and to what extent people accept him.
Al Nasr warned that the fever of partisan rivalry and the acquisition mentality would thwart hope for a reformative stage of transition, and that reforming the political system and achieving the aspirations of the people required a fundamental change in the equation of government, and reform should not be subject to the narrow interests of the market.

Al Nasr Coalition confirms its previous attitude calling for choosing an independent figure who enjoys the confidence of the people as prime minister for the interim phase that ends with holding free and fair elections under UN supervision.
The coalition reiterates the necessity that the interim phase should be a guarantor of transformations in political life to serve the aspirations of the people.

Al Nasr stresses that the interests of political competition, the party race, and the obsession mentality will thwart hopes for the reform of the political system.

Al Nasr: What we are suffering today is a production of the 2018 ruling equation, and it has to be changed

Al Nasr Coalition has warned the political forces not to pursue the same political approach that dominates party interests by choosing a new prime minister, and that the continuation of the mentality of obsession and domination and narrow interests will keep the crisis, entrenching quotas and corruption and mortgaging the country’s sovereignty to the foreigner.
Al Nasr asserted in a statement today that what we are reaping today from crises that ravage the state is the result of the fragile equation of 2018, and that reformulating it with new faces will enter the country in a cycle of chaos and internationalization.

The coalition called for changing the equation of government to be consistent with national tasks and new changes, calling for the formation of an “independent ministry” to lead the interim phase that will administer fairly, professionally, and nationally the affairs of the country, to ensure the establishment of a permanent stage that realizes the aspirations of the people.

Al Nasr: We reject the resignation of the President of the Republic, Barham Salih

Al Nasr Coalition confirms the rejection of the President resignation, Mr. Barham Salih, calling for withdrawal and the continuation of his constitutional and national responsibilities.
Al Nasr added that national interests and popular legitimacy require political forces to support solutions that meet the aspirations of the people, and leave the mentality of treachery, bullying and domination.

The coalition stressed the necessity of making a fundamental change to the current equation of government in a way that establishes a temporary stage capable of taking the country out of its crisis, and insisting this that equation remain will lead to the unknown, and the forces that refuse to make real reforms will bear full responsibility before God, homeland and history.

Al Nasr: We condemn the American assault on Iraqi sovereignty and the members of the Popular Mobilization Forces

Al Nasr Coalition condemns the US assault on Iraqi sovereignty and members of the Popular Mobilization Forces, and demands the government to bind the US forces present on Iraqi lands to the terms of the agreements signed between the two countries. The Coalition affirms that such attacks will harm security, stability, and the bilateral relations.

Al Nasr Coalition stresses the need for all Iraqi military presence to be obligated by the orders of the General Command and the official obligations of Iraq and not to drag the country into the furnace of international regional conflicts. The security and stability of Iraq is a supreme value that cannot be forfeited in the interest of any state.
