The head of Al Nasr Coalition, Dr. Haider Al-Abadi, received in his office, today, Thursday, the British ambassador in Baghdad, Mr. Stephen Hickey.

During the meeting, they discussed strengthening the bilateral cooperation between the two countries, the challenges facing the government, and the repercussions of targeting diplomatic missions in Iraq and providing them with protection.

Dr. Al-Abadi renewed his rejection of any targeting to the diplomatic missions and citizens, with the importance of providing protection requirements for them, saying: “Iraq must not live in international isolation, especially since we made great efforts during my government’s period to return Iraq to the international front, and we succeeded in that, it is wrong to see this file regress".

The meeting also witnessed a discussion of a number of issues related to the importance of returning reconstruction efforts to the country and helping it to overcome the challenges it is going through.
