Al Nasr Coalition: The Option to Print Currency Is Destructive To the Economy and Parliament Must Sue the Government

The member of Al Nasr Coalition Ali Al-Sneed confirmed that the options revealed by the head of the Follow-up Cell in the Prime Minister’s Office, on Friday, are catastrophic options for the financial, economic, and social security of the state, calling on Parliament to judge the current government for its reckless spending policies and the abuse of power in managing public interests.

Al-Sneed pointed out that this government inherited a cash surplus from Abadi's government, which led the wars of liberation and unity with the lowest financial budgets, yet it managed with rational governance of wealth to hand $ 14 billion to the government of Abdul-Mahdi, in addition to the 2019 budget, but it was wasted, and today we are on the threshold of a suffocating financial crisis due to the deterioration of oil prices.
Al-Sneed added: "What the head of the Follow-up Cell mentioned is dangerous and puts the government in front of legal and political accountability. His saying (that the state condition will be affected starting from the next month, including the salaries of employees, which may prompt Iraq to print the currency as a last option) threatens the entire condition of the state, it should not be covered politically by the beneficiaries over the homeland and the citizen", noting that Al Nasr Coalition has always warned against policies of waste, corruption, and theft of wealth, the last of which was the warning on March 10, calling for a rapid recovery for the crisis and developing a valid and decisive solutions to ensure the financial and economic security of the state.
