Dr. Al-Abadi receives the new Iranian Ambassador to Baghdad

Dr. Haider Al-Abadi, head of Al Nasr Coalition, received in his office today, Sunday, the new Iranian Ambassador to Baghdad, Mr. Muhammad Kazem Al-Sadeq and his accompanying delegation.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Al-Abadi congratulated Mr. Al Sadiq on the occasion of assuming his duties as Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran, wishing him success in his work and to contribute to strengthening cooperation between the two neighboring countries.

The meeting witnessed a discussion of relations between the two countries and ways to consolidate them, as well as the overall situation in the region and the effects of the global crisis on countries.

Dr. Al-Abadi affirmed Iraq’s keenness to strengthen and enhance its relations with the Islamic Republic for the benefit of the two neighboring countries and peoples, and to establish good relations with its neighbors and the countries of the region and the world in general, noting that Iraq, which has achieved victory over terrorism, is capable of revival, reconstruction, construction and stability, and this is what should be in the next stage.

In turn, the Iranian Ambassador extended his thanks and appreciation to Dr. Al-Abadi for the good reception, recalling the importance of the stage led by Dr. Al-Abadi in crushing the terrorist gangs of ISIS and stabilizing Iraq.
