The head of Al Nasr Coalition, Dr. Haider Al-Abadi, received in his office yesterday, Sunday, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Baghdad, Mr. Maxim Maximov.

The meeting witnessed a discussion of strengthening cooperation between Baghdad and Moscow, the situation in Iraq, the region and the world, the effects of the Corona epidemic on countries and their economy and on the global market, the decline in investment movement and the importance of gradually restoring conditions to what they were previously, and for Russian companies to invest in Iraq in most sectors.

The challenges that Iraq is witnessing, including the financial and security challenge, the early elections, which represent a popular, reference and political demand to change the reality in the country, were all discussed.

Dr. Al-Abadi affirmed that Iraq, which has defeated the most powerful barbaric gangs and liberated its land in an existential war, is able, with the solidarity of its people, to cross all challenges and make the upcoming elections a true expression of the citizens' will amid international monitoring.

Dr. Al-Abadi indicated that during his rule, he worked to distance Iraq from the policy of axes and we succeeded in this aspect, and there was a great openness of the world towards Iraq and vice versa, and that must continue, as to keep Iraq and its people away from any conflict in the region.
