The President of Al Nasr Coalition, Dr. Haider Al-Abadi, received in his office, the Ambassador of the European Union in Baghdad, Mr. Ville Varjola on the occasion of the end of his duties.

The head of Al Nasr Coalition, Dr. Haider al-Abadi, renewed his call on the European Union to enact legislation deterring any offense against religions and cultures, and for Sweden and Denmark to seriously consider the seriousness of their policies that contradict the sovereignty of states and the sanctity of religions.

The meeting witnessed the discussion of relations between Iraq and the European Union and the importance of strengthening them in various fields, while Mr. Varjola hoped that these relations would witness more cooperation in the next stage.

Dr. Al-Abadi stressed that Iraq needs support and openness to assist the current government in its reform program, especially in the sectors of economy, investment, development and energy to provide services to citizens and to reconstruct the country.
