The head of Al Nasr Coalition, Dr. Haider Al-Abadi, received in his office today, Monday, the Ambassador of the European Union in Baghdad, Mr. Ville Varjola.

The meeting discussed ways to strengthen relations between Iraq and the European Union, and the importance of opening up to those countries because of their potentials that can be used in Iraq.

They also discussed the political, security and economic situation, and the many challenges that Iraq is going through in various fields, and reviewed possible solutions to enable the country to follow the right path.

Dr. Al-Abadi stressed that the next stage is important to witness a comprehensive reform process and the fight against corruption, which requires more support for Iraq.

While the Ambassador of the European Union praised Dr. Al-Abadi's proposals and his vision of the situation, indicating that the European Union is supportive of Iraq, and wants stability for it, and that all existing problems should be addressed.
