Dr. Al-Abadi receives the sheikhs and notables of Baghdad and affirms: The Iraqis who have achieved victory over ISIS are able to change and rebuild their country

The head of Al Nasr Coalition, Dr. Haider al-Abadi, received a group of Baghdad sheikhs and notables, on Monday, where they discussed the service and general conditions in the regions of the capital.

The sheikhs and notables of the region stressed the importance of urging citizens to participate in the elections to change the reality of the country.

Dr. Al-Abadi pointed out the importance that government agencies must pay more attention by providing services to citizens according to scientific and practical plans and strategies, and implement projects of interest to the people of Baghdad regions, adding: “The people of the country who achieved victory over terrorism have the ability to change and complete the reconstruction victory for their country, through effective participation in the elections and selecting their representatives to form a government and parliament that can take the country to the right path.

Al-Abadi indicated that tribal sheikhs, notables, intellectuals and all leaders have a great responsibility to spread awareness and stand up to those who try to rob the will of the citizens. Our country deserves us to do everything for it and there is no way to change but through democratic practice, as well as the government is required to provide a safe environment for citizens and preserve voters and candidates.

The sheikhs and notables of the Baghdad region praised the great role of Dr. Al-Abadi in his leadership of the country during the war against ISIS and way he dealt with the financial crisis during the years of war, preserving the country's unity, eliminating sectarianism, providing security, restoring Kirkuk and returning Iraq to the international front, and many of the achievements that we hoped that they would continue.
